Check your phone first
An eSIM cannot be installed on a phone that does not support one, so it is worth ten seconds before you pay.
The certain answer takes ten seconds: dial *#06# on your phone. If the screen shows an EID — a long number, separate from the IMEI — your phone supports eSIM. No EID means it does not, whatever any list says.
Type at least two characters. Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM.
Your phone also has to be carrier-unlocked. A handset still tied to a contract will refuse to install another network’s eSIM even when the hardware supports it.

Will this work on my phone?
Only if your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06# — if you see an EID, a long number listed separately from the IMEI, the hardware supports it. A phone still locked to a contract will refuse another network’s eSIM even when the hardware is fine.
Do I keep my own number?
Yes. The eSIM installs alongside your existing SIM and carries data only, so calls and texts on your usual number keep working exactly as before. Turn roaming off on your main line to avoid your home carrier charging you.
When does it start counting down?
The validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it or when you install it. You can safely install it days before you travel.
How do I install it?
You get an email with a QR code and an activation code. Scan the QR from another screen, or tap the install link on the phone itself. Install it before you fly — you need an internet connection to do it, and airport wifi is a poor time to find that out.
Can I install it more than once?
Usually not. An eSIM profile can normally be installed only once, so if you delete it or reset your phone it cannot be re-added. Keep the email — and do not remove the eSIM until your trip is over.
What if it does not work?
Email support with your order number, which is on your order page and in the confirmation email. That number lets us find the order without asking you for anything else.
